Steam Deck Review!
Here is my review of the Steam Deck!
I know that this product has been out for awhile now. Everyone and their mother has written about it, but I like to get my two cents in too.
In this day of faster devices like the Asus ROG. I have had my Steam Deck for a little over a month at writing this review. In that short time I have played a few titles on it from the reboot of DMC to the new T.N.M.T. game. The games play very well and the controls were nice and responsive. On the sound front the deck offers good sound but it can get a bit distorted if you have the volume all the way up on somethings.
The major downside from my point of view is that even with all the work Valve has done and continues to do not all games will be playable due to the anti cheat software that the game uses like Destiny 2 comes to mind. I can live with it not being a powerful as the Asus ROG, but when you run Windows on a device like this your going to need that extra processing power. Yes you can run Windows on the Deck, but for one that likes Linux I will keep it as it is or at the very minimum I’ll setup a SD card with Windows to boot off.
The other major different I’m starting to explore and enjoy is the aftermarket mods and extra software that adds to the value of the deck!
Of course these are my thoughts on the Steam Deck and as time goes on I may add to this review and if you want to share your experience with it please do!
